TEXTILE SOURCING GUIDE
Bedding collections: define dimensions and set contents
A bedding size name is a starting point, not a complete specification. For a U.S. collection, list the actual finished dimensions and every item included in each set.
Write a size matrix
For each planned size, record the dimensions of every component and the units used. Define how measurements are taken and any agreed tolerances. Do not assume that a size name alone communicates your brand’s intended dimensions.
List the set contents
Describe each component and quantity, including which decorative pieces are included or excluded. Make sure product photography, packaging copy and the approved specification describe the same set.
Review materials and construction
Discuss the shell fabric, filling where applicable, seams, closures and quilting or other surface details. Specify the intended appearance and hand feel using suitable physical references.
Plan packaging alongside the product
Record folding, presentation, labels and any channel-specific packaging needs. Review whether the proposed package clearly communicates size and set contents to the end customer.
Keep changes traceable
If a size, material or component changes during sampling, update the shared specification and artwork. Review a complete set before approval so that individual decisions work together.
